Our story...

Elite Trading International is a leading sourcing and manufacturing agency with a strong presence in South Africa and beyond. Over the past two decades, we have built a reputation for excellence, partnering with South Africa’s top fashion retailers to deliver high-quality products and exceptional service.

Our global team is strategically located to serve our clients efficiently: we have a finance office in Taipei/Hong Kong, sales, merchandise, and design teams in Cape Town and Eindhoven, and a sales and logistics team in Durban. Our manufacturing operations are centered in China, with specialized factories in Xintang, producing premium Denim and twill, and in Jiangxi, where we focus on knits and wovens.

With an annual output of over 4 million units from our factories, exclusively for our South African clients, we are well-positioned to expand our reach. As we look to the future, our strategy is to grow our international customer base while continuing to offer the latest fashion trends at the best possible value.

Elite trading

Elite Trading falls under ELITE, previously LINGRO, which was founded in 2007 and has been handling the sourcing, manufacturing and delivery of apparel to Mr Price, Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Ackerman’s and TFG. We also deliver homeware goods to Mr Price Home, Superbalist as well as TFG.

We operate within an FOB based business model. Within ELITE there is Elite Trading, MIA-Trading, Homefront and Uniclear, all performing different functions for different clients. We have our head office in Cape Town, a merch office and warehouse in Durban, a remote team in Eindhoven as well as an administrative office in Hong Kong and a financial office in Taipei. We handle the trend and development of new styles and fabrics, the whole manufacturing process in China, as well as the inevitable delivery of goods to the client. We only deal with reputable factories in China, two of which are open solely for our business and do not handle other clients. Our teams are fast, friendly and qualified.

Organisational structure and financing

We have multiple offices within our group. Our merch, sales and design team office in Cape Town, our warehouse and sales and merch team in Durban, a sales team in Eindhoven, as well as a finance / administrative office in Taipei / Hong Kong.

Compliance

All of our manufacturers are based in China and hold valid social compliance audits issued by QIMA / SMETA. All factories also hold a FAMA certificate allowing us to manufacture Disney products. All factories are also signed up with Sedex.

Quality Control function

We have teams in place at each factory who manage quality control during production to ensure a smooth process at the end of production. We also work with reputable 3^rd party companies such as QIMA and Intertek for bulk inspection / fabric testing should this be required.
